Corporate Business Plan
The Corporate Business Plan 2008/11 details our priorities for improvement and shows how they link to our performance management framework and the broader objectives for the Borough as outlined in the Sandwell Plan.
The Plan, which is sometimes referred to as "The Council Plan", also explains what we intend to do in the coming three years to achieve our priorities and is accompanied by the Performance Compendium.
The Performance Compendium, which is sometimes referred to as the "Best Value Performance Plan", is published in June each year and provides detailed information about how we perform as a Council through performance indicators that have been developed by the Government such as Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPI’s), the Social Services Performance Assessment Framework (PAF) and a range of measures that we have developed locally to assess the quality of the services that we provide.
The targets for improvement set within the compendium have been developed in a way, which ensures that they are challenging, achievable and based on clear, reliable information.
As part of an audit process, an independent auditor will express an opinion as to whether the Council has prepared this plan in accordance with Government guidance and will undertake a range of quality assurance checks of the data contained within the compendium.
