The Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DiGS) has been set up to help those people who are at risk of becoming homeless and this scheme will allow them to access accommodation in the private rented sector. The purpose of the scheme is to underwrite a bond in place of the usual security deposit that landlords charge before granting a tenancy.
