The Communications Unit aims to keep you informed about the services, activities and policies of Sandwell Council.

We communicate in a range of ways – from advertising campaigns, events and Twitter, to press releases, leaflets through your door and our quarterly newspaper the Sandwell Herald.

Our busy press office provides a 24/7 service, handling thousands of media requests and enquiries each year and issuing dozens of press releases every week. You can read all of our press releases online.

Our marketing team plays a key role in the brand management and marketing of Sandwell Council and the borough as a whole. Responsibilities include raising awareness of the positive initiatives that Sandwell Council delivers as well as promoting the borough and its attractions to visitors.

Our internal communications officer maintains effective communication with council employees through special events, e-bulletins and other publications.
