We welcome your comments at any time on any topic. Whether you would like to ask a question or raise a comment about a particular issue that affects you or your community, or whether you would simply like to make a comment on our service or performance as a Council, there are a number of ways you can contact us to Have Your Say!
Consultation and Involvement
We are committed to creating an open and accessible local government in Sandwell. Local people expect and deserve good quality services and decisions – consultation can help us to:- ensure that services are targeted on what people want;
- improve take up;
- improve satisfaction measured over time;
- ensure that potential problems over changes are identified;
- learn from real experience and improve – continuously.
Scrutiny In Sandwell
In summary the role of Scrutiny is to scrutinise the quality of Council Services and other issues that affect the lives of people in Sandwell. You can get involved in a number of different ways as well as seeing what Scrutiny Panels there are and how they work. You can view any specific consultations Scrutiny are involved in as well as the work programme for 2006/07.
Committee Management Information System (CMIS)
The Committee Management Information System is a website operated by Sandwell MBC where you will be able to find out about the various committees and individuals who represent you on your local council. Find out who sits on which committees, any decisions or declarations they have made, examine agendas and minutes of any meeting and find out how to contact any member on Sandwell Council. In addition, you can receive email notifications of new information published on CMIS. Just simply register your details and preferences and CMIS will notify you by e-mail of any information that matches your requirements.
In order to promote and encourage members of the public to take part in the Democratic process, CMIS allows for the submission of comment and feedback. Just click on the link within the system to send feedback.
All proposals that have been identified as a key decision can also be viewed by following the link to Forward Plans. You are able to submit your views and opinions to the Council on each item.
