The 14-19 Gateway will:
- provide a web-based single reference point (a "one-stop shop") on 14-19 for the 14-19 programme's key delivery partners;
- clearly set out the 14-19 strategy and its relationship with other Departmental strategies;
- provide information and guidance or links to guidance on others sites on all aspects of the 14-19 phase;
- disseminate good practice in 14-19 learning;
- increase the opportunity for two-way communications between the Department and its stakeholders on 14-19 education and training;
- raise the profile and status of the emerging 14-19 phase;
- bring greater coherence to web-based communications on 14-19 and, in particular, reduce gaps and duplication in the Department's and others' web-based 14-19 communications.
Connexions offers advice and guidance for all 13 to 19 year olds. Aim is to improve and enhance a range of services, including the way in which young people get careers advice.
