Instrumental Resale Scheme
Information and forms on purchasing instruments through the Sandwell Youth Music Instrument Resale Scheme.
Aims of the Scheme
The scheme has been designed to encourage young people in Sandwell schools to buy their own instruments. Payments may be made by a cash purchase or weekly installment to the Authority. Upon completion of the payments the instrument becomes the property of the family making the payments. There are several advantages to this:-
- From the start a pupil is learning to play on a good quality instrument.
- Instruments are obtained at a price lower than that offered by dealers to individual customers.
- Young people tend to treat their own instruments with care.
When they leave school, young people possess an instrument of their own and are able to continue their musical activities.
