Online Admissions
Our Online School Admission System is available to parents to make an application for a school place for their child.
Please read through the checklist below before clicking to Apply Online via the link at the bottom of this page.
Are you applying to the appropriate local authority?
Please
ensure that you are applying to the correct local authority for your
child’s admission to primary or secondary school. Our online
application system is for Sandwell local authority.
You can find links to neighbouring local authority websites on our useful links page.
If
you are applying for a place in a Secondary School and are not resident
in Sandwell you should not complete the online application form but
should apply to your home local authority (the Council to which you pay
Council Tax).
Do you have a valid email address?
As part of the online application process you will need to register a valid email address prior to completing an application form. A password will be sent to your specified email account, you will need this password to allow you to logon to the online system to enable you to apply.Do you have the required information to apply?
It may be helpful if you have the following details at hand:- Child’s name
- Child’s date of birth
- Child’s address
- Details of the preferred school(s).
Applying to a Primary School?
Any parent, no matter where their child lives, can apply using our online system for a place in a Sandwell school for their child to start school for the first time in Recption class or for a place in Year 3 at a junior or combined school in September 2009.
Sandwell produces information booklets for Infant or Primary applications (as well as Secondary applications see below) to help parents in the application process. Please ensure you have read the advice in the booklets before making an online application.

Applying to a Secondary School?
Only parents with children resident in Sandwell Council’s area can use the online system to apply for a place in Year 7 for September 2009 in a secondary school for their child. You can include schools in other councils’ areas as well as foundation and voluntary aided schools and Academies in Sandwell.
Sandwell produces information booklets for Secondary applications as well as infant or primary applications (see below) to help parents complete an application on behalf of their child. Please ensure you have read the advice in the booklets before making an online application.

- Reception and Year 3 applications - 28th November 2008
- Secondary applications - 24th October 2008
