ContinYou delivers the Extended Schools Support Service (TESSS) to schools throughout England on behalf of the DfES.
Teachernet
Information, guidance, case studies (including those from pathfinder projects) and much more from TeacherNet. The site offers a comprehensive list of helpful hints and directions.
The Extended Schools ICT guidance materials are now live on the Teachernet website. This is intended to be a quality resource which schools can benefit from when thinking about extending their ICT provision to their wider communities. It includes case studies, practical advice, toolkits and links to Becta and other websites.
The Education Act 2002 enables schools and other parties to join together to form companies. The legal identity of a company enables schools to enter into contracts as a group, to pool resources effectively and provide members with some institutional and financial stability. Schools are able to follow a well-established procedure for forming a company and have considerable flexibility in how the company is run. For extended schools, the benefits of forming a company could be wide ranging. For example, a group of schools could share their expertise and links with business with other schools in the area or enable a cluster of schools to employ experts (ICT technicians, bursars, language teachers etc) to share amongst their members and with other schools.

Extended Schools (The Standards Site - DfES)

Sure Start is a Government programme which aims to improve outcomes for children, parents and communities by improving the availability of childcare for all children; improving health, education and emotional development for young children and supporting parents as parents and in their aspirations towards employment.
Big Lottery Fund was created by merging the New Opportunities Fund and the Community Fund. It will hand out half the money for good causes from the National Lottery.
