The aim of the Association is:

1) To provide governors with:

• a collective voice
• a forum for discussing issues of common concern
• a channel of communication to the LA
• a means of holding the local authority to account.

2) To ensure that the LA has a satisfactory mechanism for consulting governors about issues which affect them and about which they have legitimate concerns.
