Schemes for Co-ordinated Admissions

 

Every Local Authority has a duty to publish schemes which set out the administrative arrangements to be followed for the co-ordination of applications for admission each September.

For admissions to Primary schools, co-ordination only applies to applicants for places in the area of a Local Authority. However, in Secondary schools arrangements must cover all applicants living in the area of the Local Authority even though one or more of their preferences may include schools outside of the Local Authority.
