Professional Development
Welcome to the annual Professional Development Programme 2009-10. This year the Programme has been significantly extended to incorporate professional development opportunities across Children's and Young People's Service for staff in schools and learning settings.
Most courses on the Programme need to be booked online using TMOnline, the Local Authority’s booking system.
Colleagues from other Local Authorities or not based in a school wishing to book onto a Sandwell event should e-mail training_development@sandwell.gov.uk, giving details.
In addition to the courses and conferences this comprehensive online interactive programme aims to draw your attention to wider professional development opportunities. It also offers you the opportunity for personalised support through the Bespoke Advisory Service.
As new courses come on line the Programme is updated daily.
The system is supported by a monthly bulletin which is to be found in the Circulars within the Sandwell Extranet. This Circular lists professional development opportunities in the forthcoming two months, including key external events which may be of interest.
A termly wall chart is also produced which lists the next term's events. This is sent out to all schools, Learning Communities and PRUs.
A Professional Development 'E-Newsletter' is also produced, which highlights some key events and also showcases and draws attention to local, regional and national developments of interest. To access past copies, go to the E-Newsletter page
