- Specialist support and interventions for children with either specific learning, emotional, behaviour or other learning difficulties.
Legal Requirements And Guidelines
- Psychological advice within the 1996 Education Act legislation
- Statutory reviews and reassessments under the requirements of 1996 Education Act
- Monitoring progress of Sandwell children placed outside of the Borough
- Monitoring progress of statemented pupils within mainstream schools
Development Work
- Assistance with development of whole school policies and practice for SEN and behaviour management
- Surveys of reading attainment
- Other surveys and audits within schools eg bullying, behaviour, maths, pupil attitudes
- Supporting schools to implement the Code of Practice
- Support for schools prior to, during and post Ofsted inspections
- Parent skills training (group work)
