Margaret Westwood Memorial Charity

The Charity was set up under the Will of William Westwood who died on 14th August 1949, in memory of his daughter, Margaret, who died in Mr. Westwood's Lifetime.

The purpose of the Charity is to improve the physical, educational and moral welfare of children and young people living in the old County of Worcester (as it existed in 1946). This includes areas such as Halesowen and Oldbury and parts of Dudley.

Grants are made to organisations and children and young people up to the age of 25.

Grants are made to organisations and charities working with children and young people to cover the cost of projects and for the purchase of equipment. The trustees also consider making grants towards the cost of educational visits/voluntary work abroad but funding is not available for the cost of education i.e. tuition fees, accommodation charges etc.
