E-Learning Strategy
Since the publication of the 2002-5 Strategy, much progress has been made, major milestones have been achieved and Sandwell has gained national recognition for a number of aspects, including our 'joined-up thinking' and integrated strategy.
Primary National Strategy described our work in Sandwell as 'cutting edge' in terms of the coherence and cross-team working.
Individual schools have gained national recognition and individual staff have been recognized through national awards. Schools are also increasingly working in collaborations or networks, not just with other schools but in wider partnerships.
In the last 3 years, major changes in local and national context have taken place and the previous strategy effectively anticipated a number of current national developments. However, the advent of integrated Children's Services, Building Schools for the Future, and the developments with the Learning Gateway in particular mean that there is an unprecedented opportunity to make further, rapid progress and undertake major borough-wide innovation.
Following a Borough-wide consultation to further develop our vision for e-Learning the 2005-8 Strategy document was published and is available below.
