Becoming a Teacher
Anyone wishing to work as a qualified teacher in England must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
In England, QTS is awarded by the Secretary of State for Children Schools and Families. Those seeking QTS must meet the Standards for the Award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

You will also need to pass skills tests in Numeracy, Literacy and Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
