• Do you live in Sandwell? (Non-Sandwell residents must apply to their home authority for assistance).
• Are you aged 16-18?
• Are you attending the nearest school or college offering your course OR are you continuing your education at the same school which you received travel assistance forin Year 11?
• Do you live 3 miles or more (walking distance) from the Post 16 establishment where you are studying?
• Are you undertaking a course where transport assistance is NOT available from your school/college, eg Bus Service, Learner Support-Fund, Bus Pass etc?

If you have answered Yes to all of the questions then you may be eligible to receive travel assistance from Sandwell Local Authority.

Students who enter the first year of their course from September 2006 onwards, and who are eligible to receive an Education Maintenance Allowance will be eligible to receive Travel Assistance for the first term of their course only.
