If you are finding it difficult to get out and about due to a disabling condition or ill health, you may find the information in this section useful.

What services are available?

You may benefit from registering with Ring and Ride, a service that will collect you from your own home and take you to where you want to go. Most journeys are within a half mile radius of your home, however it is possible to go further afield. Visit the Ring and Ride website for more information. 

If you are having difficulty getting around you may find it helpful to register with Mobility Services. Follow the link to Mobility Services including Shopmobility to find out more. This service offers wheelchairs and mobility scooters on both long and short-term loans for people with mobility problems.

If you have a permanent or substantial disability, you may be eligible for to apply for a Blue Badge. The Blue Badge scheme gives you parking concessions if you are using a vehicle. You do not have to be the driver to qualify.
