Housing Regeneration Schemes
Sandwell Council is committed to driving Housing Regeneration throughout the borough.
The aim is to create a network of regenerated, sustainable communities across the Borough, creating an attractive urban living environment.
Housing Regeneration in Sandwell is led by the following:
- Private Finance Initiative (PFI) Scheme - will see the refurbishment of almost 1,000 Council Homes, the demolition and rebuilding of 120 new Council Homes, and the building of nearly 100 new homes for sale.
- Housing Partnerships Regeneration & Master Planning – focused on a number of regeneration schemes such as the Lyng and Greets Green Regeneration Project and the Durham, Tibbington and Charlemont Farm Estate Redevelopment.
- Sandwell Housing Market Renewal Area (HMRA) - essentially about restructuring the housing market and improving the 'offer' of housing in Pathfinder areas.
