Housing Strategy
The Housing Strategy Divisions principal role is to deliver Sandwell's Housing Strategy, ensuring that residents of Sandwell have a wide range of housing market options available to them, which are well maintained and affordable.
Housing Strategy sets itself an ambitious standard to be a high performing and innovative organisation delivering a modern progressive housing strategy, which meets the future needs of Sandwell and aspirations of its residents.
The Housing Strategy is driven by national, regional and sub-regional agendas although it remains guided by consultation with Sandwell partners and residents. Our overarching Housing Strategy has been accredited by the Government Office with a ‘Fit for Purpose’ status which allows us to move forward with our action plan, deliver our five priorities, and work with neighbouring authorities within the region.
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council’s Housing Strategy Division is made up of five core units Housing Partnerships, Private Sector Housing, Strategy and Research and Sandwell Housing Market Renewal Area (HMRA) all working towards making Sandwell a better place to live and work.
