As part of its agenda to improve services across Local Authorities, the Government sets out the Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPIs); in addition the council, in consultation with tenants, members and stakeholders set our own ‘local’ indicators. We monitor performance information weekly, quarterly, and/or annually depending on the type of information which we are collecting, and the subject area concerned. We have set challenging targets for each of the indicators based on the performance of similar service providers, customer expectations and our own year on year performance improvements. The purpose of all of these indicators is to measure our performance in key service areas so that our strengths and weaknesses can be identified and improved upon.
