West Bromwich’s first purpose built theatre since the Plaza closed its doors more than forty years ago, there will be events, performances, films, art, gigs and concerts, dance and drama workshops and facilities for conferences, seminars and meetings. Entry to the building is free for all, and for the opening weekend, all our events will be free too - bring your friends and families and explore! Our fantastic new café bar will be open and welcoming visitors with great food and drink - plan to spend the day - there’s lots to see and do!

The Public Launches!

Over 8000 people joined us to celebrate our opening over Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June - an overwhelming response to the weekend launch festival.

We enjoyed welcoming an enormously diverse audience with a range of backgrounds and ages, who participated in a variety of activities and performances throughout the weekend.

Fantastic highlights included toddlers racing up and down the ground floor around the legs of former national jive champions at our tea dance on Sunday morning; the beautiful origami made by families with Multistory in the Longroom; and the exuberance of the festival coming to a thrilling peak with the street dance performances of local outfit Dramatic Movements and carnival percussion band Rhythms of the City.
