Historic Vehicle Show

 

Thousands of visitors motored down to enjoy one of the largest vintage car shows in the region.

In beautiful sunshine eighteen thousand people attending the 30th Anniversary of the Historic Vehicle Show which was held in Dartmouth Park West Bromwich on Sunday 11th May 2008.

In spite of the condition of the ground and the late move to Dartmouth Park the event was a huge success with visitors coming from all over the country.

The Show held a special military vehicle exhibition which included a Valentine Mark 1X DD tank used in training for the D Day invasion as well as several jeeps and army trucks to mark the 60th Anniversary of the VE Day.

Over 700 vehicles from all over the world took part to give a splendid display and the overall best entry award went to a 1959 Commer Karrier owned by F Metcalfe of Tamworth.
