St. George's Day

 

Keith Chegwin is returning to Sandwell to host a feast of family fun to mark St George's Day in West Bromwich.

Boy With Painted FaceThe children's TV legend will be the star of the show at the annual St George's Day celebrations in Dartmouth Park on Saturday, April 24.

From noon until 5pm, Cheggers will be on the main stage chatting to the crowd and making sure everyone is having fun at the event, which is completely FREE!

This year's attractions include a medieval castle and its own arena area, where members of the public have the chance to dress up and take part in the displays.

There will be a food and craft fair, Morris dancing from Bedcote Morris and Pat Collins’ fun fair.

Entertainment includes a Punch and Judy show, magic tricks, sports displays and a 5x30 roadshow encouraging people to do five 30 minute sessions of activity each week.

A marquee will host music from Halesowen Brass Band and entertainment from Poetry Wednesbury.

A stage and arena will host performances from Robbie Williams and Beatles tribute acts, performances from Wood Green High School students and demonstration from the Sealed Knot who will also have a living camp nearby.

Visitors should park in town centre car parks. The fun starts at 12pm and runs until 5pm.
