Prostate Cancer Awareness Health Walk

Details: A gentle walk to suit all abilities. Health walk lead by qualified walk leaders with an aim to increase health and act as one of your 5x30 exercise activities. The walk has a focus to increase the awareness of Prostate Cancer and the support offered. Working in partnership with Sandwell Get Outdoors and Active programme and the Prostate Cancer Support Group.

A Black Country Night Out (Comedy Show)

Regular Events

Cycling in Sandwell

Date: First Sunday of the month
Time: 10.00am
Details: Saddle up and join cycling in Sandwell’s family bike cycle rides around Sandwell Valley. All rides are short and easy (2 - 3hours with a break) and follow off-road paths or minor roads.

Riders return to the start point at the end of their ride. Please ensure your bike is roadworthy. Cycling in Sandwell does not accept liability for loss, damage or injury incurred. Children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. There may be an opportunity to purchase lunch but we recommend that you bring a drink and snack with you. Rides last 2-3 hours, meet at War Memorial, Dartmouth Park.

Sandwell Stride Walks

It is a great way to get some exercise, enjoy a walk and the fresh air of some of Sandwell’s best parks and nature reserves. All walks are led by a trained Walk Leader, all ages and abilities are welcome, and refreshments are available on many walks. Coordinator 0121 612 1400 or 07814 540 853.

Walk 2: Beijing to London

The programme is open to people who live, work or study in Sandwell. People who take part are given a step counter and a diary to record how far they walk each day. Once you get started it can be a fun challenge to try to think of new ways to get a bit more walking in! Anyone wishing to take part can call 0800 011 4656 to register.

Countryside Walks

If you enjoy walking in the countryside and like to meet new people, then our free healthy walks are for you. Lasting for about an hour, they take in some of the Country Parks best countryside. With a designated leader at the front and the rear of the group, you're free to walk at your own pace.

Monthly Food and Craft Fair

Date: Starting in April 2010

Details: The Country Park will again host a monthly Food and Craft Fair. Held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at Forge Mill Farm, the event provides the opportunity to purchase food, plants and hand-made crafts.
