Serving the needs of the 21st century, yet built in the early 20th century, Central boasts the largest, and most varied range of stock of any library in the Borough. Its Learning Centre offers free public access to the internet via a large number of computers, study guides and careers information - backed up by surgeries run by partners such as Job Link.

An extensive and wide-ranging Information Service and Reference Library is housed on the first floor.
