To ensure that standards of acceptable use are maintained within the Learning Centres in all Sandwell Libraries an Acceptable Use Policy has been introduced. The document outlines the Policy for all Learning Centres.

Library staff will

• Help you get started
• Provide initial guidance
• Provide information about Library and local ICT taster courses

Library staff will not

• Give instruction or provide training in how to use applications
• Undertake detailed searches on the Internet

Sandwell Library and Information Service cannot accept responsibility for

• Slow network responses
• Non-availability of Websites
• Communications failures
• Content of any e-mails received by users
• Other users retrieving information left on open files
• Any loss resulting from the use of a credit card
