Frequently asked questions about using our computers.

Do I have to book?

Computers are available for drop-in use, although it is advisable to reserve at busy times. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance.

Sandwell Library Service provides FREE public access computer at every library and on the mobile library.

How long can I use a computer?

Computer sessions are for one hour and can be extended if no-one else is waiting. The last session of the day ends 15 minutes before the library closes.

Do I have to be a library member?

Users should join the library and choose a PIN number. a membership number and PIN number are required for all computer sessions. Temporary users do not need to join the library if they can show ID.

Do I have to pay to use the computers?

There is no charge to use the computers or scanners. Printouts cost 10p for black and white and 30p colour.

What can I find in a library?
