CARN Readers Ticket
We now operate the CARN reader's ticket system (County Archives Research Network). This is a national scheme which operates in many county record offices throughout England and Wales. Everyone visiting CHAS for the first time who does not already have a CARN ticket is required to register on their first visit, and bring their ticket every time they visit. In order to register please bring with you two forms of identification, one which gives your current address (e.g. utility bill, bank statement) and another with your signature(e.g. credit card). If you have a drivers licence then this will be sufficient. CARN tickets issued from other offices can be used at CHAS.
