There are a number of great websites on the world wide web today connected with Local and Family History, we have included links to a few of these sites which we hope you will find useful.
The aim of GENUKI is to serve as a comprehensive "virtual reference library" of genealogical information that is of particular relevance to the UK & Ireland. It is organised so as to make it easy to find what information on what topics is available online related to given geographical localities (even down to parish level). It is a noncommercial service, provided by an ever-growing group of volunteers in cooperation with the Federation of Family History Societies and a number of its member societies.
The Public Record Office is the national archive of England, Wales and the United Kingdom. It brings together and preserves the records of central government and the courts of law, and makes them available to all who wish to consult them. The records span an unbroken period from the 11th century to the present day.
FamilyRecords.gov.uk consortium aims to help you find the government records and other sources you need for your family history research.
The site is divided into two main sections: Topics and Partners . In the topics section you will find information on Births, Marriages & Deaths, Census, Migration etc. In the partners section, you will find information on each member of the FamilyRecords.gov.uk consortium.
