Visitor use ranges from walking, dog walking and cycling to formal organised sports events.
Educational Resource
Local schools use the park as part of environmental studies linked with the national curriculum, Moat Farm Infant School carry out two visits to the park one in the spring term and again in the autumn to study the existing trees and the effects of micro-climate and seasonal change.
Informal recreation individually or in groups is carried out by older age groups. The local secondary schools, do not use the park as part of a formal education programme, but the students use it as a through route and
safe route to school. A recent study was carried out by Sonia Rainbird at Langley High School on students at both Langley and Warley High Schools on the routes which a representative sample of students took to and from school. The results show that the majority of students transverse the Park from Meadow Road to the Main
Entrance on Moat Road, followed by the secondary gate on Moat Road. This pattern is then reversed in the evening. Almost half the students confirmed they used the Park during the school holidays.
