Lambing time is here!

All of our ewes are in the sheds at Forge Mill, ready for lambing, which will start around the end of February. Once lambing has started some sheep will be moved back to Sandwell Park Farm.

Change to Opening Hours

Forge Mill’s opening hours have changed . Visitors can still watch milking daily around 3.00pm, but the farm is now open from 10.30a.m to 4.30pm. The farm remains open throughout the year and is popular with birdwatchers, who come to watch winter migrants on the adjoining Forge Mill Lake. Light refreshments and hot drinks can be bought at the shop, which also sells souvenirs, eggs, vegetables, wood chippings, as well as logs when available. To avoid a wasted journey, you can ring the farm on 0121 588 7210 to check what’s in stock.

RSPB Centre

If you fancy a walk while you're at Forge Mill, why not walk round Forge Mill Lake to visit the RSPB Centre. Staff at the Forge Mill shop will be happy to give you directions.
