Physical Education and Sport Strategy 2003-2008
The Physical Education and Sport Strategy (2003 - 2008) was developed in 2003 jointly by the Council's Leisure and Education services on behalf of the Sandwell Partnership for the whole of the borough.
The Strategy sets out a clear vision for Physical Education and Sport in Sandwell based on the Sandwell Partnership vision: "The Sandwell of 2020 will be a thriving, sustainable, optomistic and forward looking community".
The PE and Sport Action Plan
In 2005 a midpoint review of the strategy was undertaken and an action plan produced (2006 - 2008) in partnership with key agencies.
The Sandwell PE and Sport Strategic Team are currently inviting feedback on the mid-point review of the Sandwell PE and Sports Strategy 2003 - 2008, and the revised outcomes for 2005 - 2008. We are doing this to ensure as wide a range of residents in Sandwell have an opportunity to feed into and shape the PE and Sports Strategy for the Borough, to ensure the resultant action plan is widely supported, to collect examples of achievements made across the Borough, strengthening exisiting partnerships and identifying the potential for new ones.
