Triple S Programme

 

The Triple S programme (Start up, Shape up, Sign up) actively encourages particpation in sport and physical activity within Sandwell.

Funding has been made available by Sandwell Partnership utilising Working Neighbourhoods Funds.

Triple S Wins APSE Award

The Triple S programme has been named the winner of the Best Healthy Living Initiative by the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) at its Annual Service Awards 2008.

The APSE awards are regarded nationally as some of the most prestigious awards within the public sector and this year attracted more than 350 submissions from over 140 different organisations. They are unique in the local government calendar, dedicated to awarding excellence in front line local government public services.

Physical Testing

The 2nd round of physical testing has been completed with 66 schools and almost 10,000 pupils taking part - the report of findings from Round 2 is now available to download.

Round 3 of the programme commenced in September 2008. All schools in Sandwell are welcome to particpate in Round 3 irrespective of whether they have participated to date.

Triple S Programme Evaluation

Sandwell Council has commissioned an external evaluation of the Triple S programme.

This report has been produced highlighting progress and successes to date along with facts, figures and the perceptions of some of those involved.
