RoSPA
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) gave SLT the Gold standard in their Occupational Health and Safety Awards.
Sandwell Leisure Trust have become the first Leisure Trust in the country to receive a prestigious health and safety award.
Investors in People
The Investors in People Standard is a proven business improvement framework designed to improve an organisation's performance through the development of its people.
Quest
QUEST accreditation defines industry standards in Facility Operations, Staffing, Customer Service, Service Development and Review as recommended by the British Quality Foundation. QUEST is a Nationally recognised quality standard designed by the leisure industry for the leisure industry. Accredited facilities can also benchmark with other operators nationally.
The following facilities have received QUEST accreditation.
Tipton Swimming Centre, Hadley Stadium, Tipton Sports Academy, Langley Swimming Centre, Harry Mitchell Leisure Centre, Haden Hill Leisure Centre and Smethwick Swimming.
Sporting Equals
The Promoting Racial Equality Through Sport Standard
Preliminary level - Sandwell Leisure Trust has demonstrated its commitment to understanding and addressing the issues and barriers that perpetuate racial inequality. This commitment and understanding has been communicated to all staff and communities.
Young People's Charter Award
The Young People's Charter is a unique and pioneering initiative that is being delivered by Sandwell Council's Youth Strategy Team. It is committed to involving and encouraging the voices of young people in Sandwell.
National Aquatic Rescue Standard (NARS)
Registered Centre status by the STA (Swimming Teachers Association). This is in recognition of the quality and high standard of professional STA courses delivered by Sandwell Leisure Trust.
Business Environmental Charter
The Charter is a Black Country scheme, promoted through BISNES. It provides an opportunity for businesses to make a commitment to environmental improvement. The following sites have received Silver status - Hadley Stadium; Haden Hill LC; Tipton Swimming Centre; Harry Mitchell LC; and Wednesbury LC and Tipton Sports Academy has achieved Bronze status.
