Sandwell Leisure Trust currently has opportunities for inspiring, self motivated, forward thinking individuals with an interest in sport, health, fitness or customer service to join its Board. We are looking for people with business experience who have ambition to drive the expansion of a successful organisation. The position is voluntary, although out of pocket expenses are paid.
Sandwell Leisure Trust’s impressive portfolio includes 9 leisure centres, a golf course and sports development unit. Its core business areas include: sport & leisure, health & fitness, swimming & swimming instruction, Leisure Pass memberships, holiday camps, function facilities, club activities, training & development.
The Trust, a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity, receives an annual management fee from the Sandwell Council in return for delivery against key performance indicators.
Working in partnership with the Council, key investment priorities include building improvements, marketing and staff development.
In our first 3 years, we have invested over £1m in improving facilities, achieved the the Investor in People Award, the RoSPA gold award for Health & Safety and the nationally accredited QUEST award for 5 of our facilities. With customer service at the forefront of its business delivery, Sandwell Leisure Trust’s overarching aim is that of ‘Creating an Active Sandwell’.
