Swimfit
Sandwell Leisure Trust are linking in with the Swimfit initiative. Swimfit is a joint venture between the official partners the Amateur Swimming Association, British Gas and Speedo. It is a fantastic way to exercise the whole body and offers advice and fun programmes to help structure your time in the pool - whether you're looking to keep healthy, shape & tone up, improve your fitness or get competitive.
Aquathon Results Available
Nearly 50 people took part in an Aquathon which could now become an annual fixture. The swimming and running challenge attracted 47 entrants at Tipton Swimming Centre and neighbouring Victoria Park. The winners of the three categories, which involved either a 400-metre swim and one-mile run or a 200-metre swim and half-a-mile walk or jog, were Richard Gibbs, 30, with a time of 14.59, Suzanne Bartram, 47, in the women’s event with a time of 17 min 03 secs and 14-year-old Jake Winwood for the juniors with a time of 12 min 59 secs.

Pool links up with Black Country Museum
The Black Country Museum and Tipton Swimming Centre are joining forces to offer a joint promotion this Christmas to create an active past and future. Anyone who takes out a Leisure Pass Gold membership will recieve a 2 for 1 voucher for entry into the Black Country Museum. They will also be entered into a prize draw to win one of ten VIP days out at the museum. This offer is only available for a limited time.
Free Swimming from April 2009
From 1st April 2009 free public swimming will be available for those aged 16 and under and 60+. This is a Government Initiative to help increase participation that subject to funding will initially run until March 2011. To obtain your free swimming pass visit your nearest Sandwell Leisure Trust swimming centre with relevant ID.
Please note this initiative does not include swimming lessons, aquafit, fun sessions or targeted sessions. Some public swimming sessions may also have time slots during busy periods, customers are advised to check for availability.
Parent & Toddler
Parent & Toddler sessions are available 12-1pm costing £3.06 for Leisure Pass members and £3.40 for non members.
Young At Heart
Young At Heart is a session that is specifically designed for over 50s. Easy access ladders are available. Sessions are on Tuesdays 12-1pm costing £3.00.

This Centre has received Quest accreditation that defines industry standards in Facility Operations, Staffing, Customer Service, Service Development and Review as recommended by the British Quality Foundation. Quest is a Nationally recognised quality standard designed by the leisure industry for the leisure industry. Accredited facilities can also benchmark with other operators nationally.
