Support for the victims of crime
Victim Support
Sandwell's Victim Support is a voluntary organisation that gives emotional support and practical help for victims of crime. It provides a free and confidential service.
Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme
If you have been injured as a result of a violent crime, you may be entitled to a payment under the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme.
Young people and crime
Sandwell's Youth Offending Team deal with young people with the aim of preventing offending by young people in Sandwell. They give the victims of crime committed by young people the chance to be heard.

Domestic Violence
Sandwell is committed to minimising Domestic Violence. Domestic Violence can involve physical, emotional or sexual abuse between people in a close relationship, and this can mean both men and women. There are several organisations throughout the borough which are concerned with this. Information is available about what steps to take if you are a victim of Domestic Violence, and how to be prepared in the event of a crisis. Support and advice are also available if you are in need to help you recognise and begin to deal with abuse, including services which specialise in violence related to drug misuse and alcoholism. There are also places to stay for adults and children if an emergency occurs.
