Are you experiencing Domestic Abuse?

SOADA Logo

Many women (and some men) do not at first recognise that they are in a domestic abuse situation. But you are if your partner, ex-partner (or other person in your household) regularly has

  • Attacked you
  • Forced you to have sex
  • Put you down, called you names
  • Smashed furniture, destroyed property
  • Stopped you from seeing friends
  • Threatened to hurt you
  • Controlled the money
  • Blamed you for the violence

Domestic Abuse can happen to anyone remember:

  • You are not alone
  • You are not to blame
  • You can get help

There are ways that you can make changes and there are options open to you. For  example, you can get advice, help with moving out to a place of safety or you can talk through the situation, even if you do not want or feel you are unable to leave the relationship.

You can talk to us in confidence by ringing the helpline number:

0845 359 7525

Remember - help is only a phone call away.
