An environmental weight limit will not be imposed on A or B classified roads, but residents may request a weight restriction for their road and this will be fully assessed in accordance with the council approved method.
The assessment process considers:
- The number of HGV's actually using the road
- The 5 year personal injury accident statistics
- The physical characteristics of the road
- Frontage usage of the road
- Pedestrian usage
To report abuse of any imposed weight restrictions please contact West Midlands Police.
