The West Midlands Local Transport Plan (LTP) is a public document that sets out the highway authority’s policies, strategies,objectives and targets for improving transport within the West Midlands.

Car Share Sandwell has recently been launched to encourage residents to car share in and around Sandwell. Car sharing allows people to benefit from the convenience of the car, whilst also helping to save money, solve car-parking problems and reduce traffic and pollution.

Sandwell Company TravelWise is a local initiative which encourages companies and their employees to reflect on their current transport practices and recognise alternative means of travel, which may be more cost-effective, practical, healthy and environmentally friendly.

There are a number of Transportation Schemes either planned or in progress within Sandwell. These schemes are part of an overall strategy aimed at providing Sandwell with a safe and efficient transport network catering for all modes of travel and all users.
