Choosing The Right Bike

Basic guidance on choosing the right bike.

Mountain Bikes are designed for off-road cycling. Their wide and knobbly tyres make peddling on-road harder.

Hybrid or city bikes are designed for the urban environment, and can handle most types of terrains.  These bikes are practical for everyday cycling and tend to have mud and chain guards fitted as standard.

Road or racing bikes have drop down handlebars and narrow tyres, which are designed for fast on-road cycling.

Folding bikes are ideal for cyclists that use Trains and Buses for part of their journeys.

We recommend that you purchase your bike form your local specialist bike shop.
