Public Transport

Centro and Travel West Midlands have information on local buses, trains and the Metrolink. Alternatively, call the Centro Hotline on 0121 200 2700.

Sandwell is at the heart of the Midlands network of bus services, which are co-ordinated by the Centro passenger transport executive. As well as frequent services to other parts of the West Midlands conurbation, the borough has many cross boundary local estate services which link many towns and key areas of employment, leisure, retail and education. The latest public transport system is the Midland Metro, which runs between Birmingham and Wolverhampton via Wednesbury and West Bromwich. Sandwell has an extensive rail network, which makes it easy to travel to other parts of the country.

The Local Transport Plan aims to build on the curent public transport network to enhance quality and reliabilty, to create an accessible and viable alternative to the single occupancy car.
